Phylicia Fair is a Program Coordinator in the Office of Multicultural Affairs within Emory University School of Medicine. She obtained her Master’s in Higher Education from Argosy University and a Bachelor’s in Journalism from Georgia State University. For over 10 years, Phylicia has worked in non-profit leadership, K-12 education, and student affairs. Phylicia is Program Manager of the Emory Premedical Readiness Engagement Program (EmPREP), designed to increase underrepresented minorities entering the health and medical professions. She is also a Program Manager for Summer Science Academy, inspiring middle and high school students to pursue careers in the healthcare and exposes them to concepts of Science. She also serves as co-advisor for the Emory School of Medicine chapter of Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA). In 2019, she was invited to serve on the Learner’s Group committee at Emory University School of Medicine. This committee, led by the Executive Associate Dean and Associate Dean of Medical Education, focuses on increasing diversity, equity, inclusion efforts to support all of the School of Medicine’s learners. Above all, Phylicia is motivated to increase diversity in medicine where learners not only survive, but thrive.
