Students may enter the Executive MPH program from a variety of professional backgrounds in the public and private sector and must have a minimum of three years of relevant professional work experience. Students are only admitted in the fall semester. No GRE Required.

Every Rollins School of Public Health student will be charged the following fees each semester. Executive MPH students are not exempt from these fees and should consider them toward their cost of attendance.

Direct Stafford Loans are low-interest loans available to degree-seeking students enrolled in at least 5 credit hours per semester. The lender is the U.S. Department of Education, authorized under the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program. Unsubsidized loans are not based on need, although you must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered. You must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen for this type of aid. Interest will be charged from the time the loan is disbursed to the time the loan has been paid in full.
The Direct Graduate PLUS Loan is available to degree-seeking students enrolled in at least five credit hours per semester. This loan has a fixed interest rate that is set by the U.S. Department of Education every July 1. This loan is not based on need—it's credit-based—although you must file a FAFSA to be considered and must first be offered your Stafford Loan eligibility. You must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen for this type of aid. You may borrow up to the full cost of attendance (as defined by the Emory Office of Financial Aid) minus other aid. Interest will be charged from the time the loan is disbursed until it is paid in full.
Private educational loans may be an important funding source for students who need more loan funds than the federal programs can provide. Terms of private loans vary significantly. These loans can be more expensive than federal loans because the federal government does not guarantee them. The Emory University Office of Financial Aid offers a list of private lenders.

If you submit a completed admissions application for the EMPH program by February 15, you will automatically be considered for EMPH scholarships. These scholarships are only offered to incoming degree-seeking EMPH students. This aid does not need to be repaid. We offer 4 different scholarships:
The Sencer Scholarship seeks candidates who have demonstrated leadership skills while employed at a state or local public health department.
The Hearst Scholarship is awarded to an applicant employed at a state or local health department in Georgia, ideally serving a rural community.
The Seretean Scholarship is awarded to a public health professional working outside of metro-Atlanta, GA.
Finally, we offer general merit scholarships for those applicants who have a strong academic record, show a passion and commitment to public health, and leadership traits.
Award amounts for each scholarship vary based on a number of criteria. Apply by our priority deadline of March 15 for scholarship consideration. Award notifications will begin in May.
There are thousands of scholarships offered by private organizations, many of which are posted on the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health website. These scholarships will have varying award criteria, deadlines, and award amounts.

The Yellow Ribbon Program is a provision of the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008. This program is available to veterans or dependents who receive benefits under the Post-9/11 GI bill and have a 100% benefit rate. Rollins offers 2 new awards each year in the amount of $2500, with a maximum award of $5000 throughout your program enrollment.
Every year, Rollins gives out a one-time educational award of $7,000, disbursed evenly over the degree program, to any full-time or EMPH AmeriCorps grads—along with Teach for America and AmeriCorps VISTA volunteers. Did you complete a tour with the Peace Corps? As a thank you for your service, Rollins grants a $15,000 tuition scholarship ($3,750 per semester) to all admitted full-time or EMPH students working toward their degree.
Eligibility for each of these awards must be verified and an offer of admission must be extended prior to award notification. Please note that RSPH Mission-Driven Scholarship awards are not cumulative. Applicants who are eligible for more than one award will receive the award that is of the greater amount.
The PSLF Program is intended to encourage individuals to enter and continue to work full-time in public service jobs. Under this program, borrowers may qualify for forgiveness of the remaining balance of their direct loans after they have made 120 qualifying payments while employed fulltime by certain public service employers.
If you are an Emory University employee, you may be eligible for the Emory University Courtesy Scholarship. This scholarship covers the cost of tuition for eligible employees: up to 5 credit hours of tuition per semester for full-time employees with at least 1 year of service, or up to 4 credit hours of tuition per semester for part-time employees with at least 2 years of service.
If you are an Emory Healthcare employee, you may be eligible for the Emory Healthcare Education Plan. This is a reimbursement to you, the employee, upon completion of coursework. Full-time employees can be reimbursed 80% of tuition charges, up to $7500 per calendar year. Part-time employees can be reimbursed 40% of tuition charges, up to $3750 per calendar year.
