Our residents build a broad clinical experience through rotations at Emory's four major teaching hospitals and a large network of specialty clinics, research centers, and other patient care settings affiliated with the Emory health system.

ACGME Parker J. Palmer “Courage to Teach” Award for Program Director Excellence

Professor Ann Schwartz, MD, director of the Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences Residency Training Program is the 2021 recipient of the ACGME Parker J. Palmer “Courage to Teach” Award for program director excellence.

"Dr. Schwartz sets a high academic bar for her residency program through the creation of an innovative curriculum in residency education. She implemented residency tracks in research, psychotherapy, and global and population health, which allow for individualized training experiences for her residents."

To complement your residency program, you can opt in to one of our five residency tracks to improve your skills and knowledge in a health-related focus area. Residents who complete one of these tracks will receive a certificate of distinction.
