Why Emory EM?
Having attended Emory for medical school and having spent a lot of time at Grady, I couldn't help but compare every single place along the interview trail to Grady. I knew I wanted a true county experience for the majority of residency with training in multiple other sites as well (academic and community), which is found at only a handful of places in the country other than Emory. It's also hard to beat training at one of the busiest EDs and trauma centers in the country, which creates a pretty hard combination to beat. On top of all that, Grady is just such a special place in that we can truly care for so many people who may have no other place to go, so it really just felt like an honor and privilege to think about continuing my education there.

5-year plan
At the moment, just still living on 5-day plans. But ideally, will be done with residency, maybe even a fellowship, living in Atlanta, still working at Grady, and maybe starting a family.
What would you be doing in you weren't in Emergency Medicine?
Maybe something in history? Either a history professor or something that involved historical preservation. Or, a college football analyst/sideline reporter.
Fun fact
I have been outdoor camping once in my life, and that was for a week while climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro. Also, I eat Chick-Fil-A waffle fries one row at a time.
What would your superpower be?
Teleportation, so I could travel anywhere at any time
