To: Department Chairs and Administrators
To keep our community safe and healthy, the university has for several months required every faculty member, staff member and learner on campus to complete several onboarding tasks. (Check your status.)
In the coming weeks, card access to buildings will become available only to those faculty and staff who have completed the onboarding steps. Faculty and staff who have not completed the tasks but continue to access university buildings will receive email reminders to complete the steps. The first emails went out on Friday, Oct. 30. After two weeks of email reminders, those who have not completed the tasks will lose access to university buildings. To regain building access, employees will need to complete the onboarding steps. Reinstatement of building access may take up to 24-48 hours after completion of tasks.
Clinical providers (faculty, APPs, housestaff): we know that you are following equivalent or more stringent safety guidelines within your health care institutions. With this in mind, we have worked with the university to ensure that your access to buildings will not be restricted.
The best way to avoid getting reminder emails or losing building access is to complete the onboarding tasks. Thank you for your prompt attention to this important safety requirement.
