Please see below important announcement from the Atlanta VAMC regarding efforts to reduce the risk of COVID-19.
Atlanta VA Health Care System Staff: Please review the information below regarding efforts to reduce the risk of COVID-19.
- The Atlanta VA Health Care System will conduct a screening process to reduce the risk of spread of COVID-19. Every Veteran, family member and visitor will be screened when they enter the facility. Employees wearing a badge will not be screened at this time.
- Residents/Fellows should have their VA ID visible and make note of the entrances that are open at the medical center. Residents/fellows will not be screened. Residents/fellows that are ill should not come to the VA for their rotation and should notify their VA site director or program coordinator so that their attendance status can be verified.
- Entry points to the main facility will be limited.
- The main entrance (Clairmont Road), Emergency Department and ground floor Atrium will be the only points of entry during the day.
- After 6pm the Emergency Department and ground floor Atrium will be the only points of entry.
- Owl bus pick-up and drop-off will be rerouted from the Community Living Center and Atrium to main entrance (Clairmont Road).
