Researcher Survival Skills

A new workshop series is designed to provide researchers with the skills they need to succeed in academic medicine. Traditional skills like manuscript and grant writing will be discussed, as well as addressing lab/research team management, people skills, navigating research administration, and other topics not covered in professional school. It is suggested to consider this series as a curriculum where each session builds on previous ones, but faculty are also welcome to attended individual sessions as well.

An archive of previously recorded programs can be found on the Faculty Video Library.

SBIR/STTR Grant Workshop

Monday, November 15
2 - 5 pm via Zoom

Looking for startup funding?  Thinking about an SBIR or STTR?  Come learn from experienced academic investigators how to craft a well written proposal.  We will cover the basics of the SBIR and STTR, how these grants are different from a typical R01, commercialization plans, submission and review process, and finally some pearls of wisdom from previous award winners. Get a solid foundation before submitting on January 5th!
